The bullet is not meant to be driven any faster I imagine. I am interested in this (expensive) bullet because I am tired of leading my barrels as it is a PITA.

My hope is that someday Vista Outdoors will re-introduce the jacketed soft point 405 grain Core Locked bullet to the reloaders market. If I had known it was going to be dropped from production (for component purchase) I would have bought a life time supply. As it is, I have very few left and am looking for an alternative that is not cast lead. This new Sub-X bullet is interesting but not a replacement for the Remington 405 jacketed if for no other reason than cost.
