I have a year-old Cowboy (26" barrel, 9-rnd mag) that I love. I fire Hornady FTX and Nosler Silvertip relooads. Not a killer recoil, but healthy.
I'm having a problem with the second knucle of my middle finger - the one that rests against the front of the lever. The edges of the lever are sharp enough that it's tearing into the skin on recoil. I'm thinking about having a slight champher put on the metal there.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a strength issue if this is done?
Thanks.
