I would like to locate some 10 gauge shotgun shells with lead shot, i have a Marlin 5510 in about as perfect condition as one would find. I refuse to use steel shot in this gun. I have searched the internet without any success, plenty of steel shot, but no lead.
Has anyone shot the coated steel shells, i talked to three gunsmiths about this, they all agreed, do not use steel shot in this gun, if it was a neglected firearm, maybe ok, but not this beauty.

Have you looked at RST for 10ga ammo? A lot of our Parker guys shoot RST in most of their vintage Parkers. I load all my own 10ga lead and non-tox loads for my Parker hammer gun. There used to be a fair bit of vintage 10ga ammo on ebay but one of our Parker guys bought every box that came up a couple of years ago and seems to have cleaned a lot of the supply out. I have number of vintage boxes of lead 10ga I bought at gun shows on my shelf.
