No not for sale. I kill my first deer with it when I was 12. just wondering. It's cleaner then the picture shows. It does have a little wear but been keep in a safe for more then 40 years. LOL !! Can hit a quarter at 200 yards with it.

 

The Glenfield Gt is a nice rifle and like Waffletop said value is in the $450. range. The stocks are birch with the deer on them and that is correct for that rifle. What are the first two digits of the serial number as that will give us the date it was made?

The serial number starts with 2104

 

They dropped the Glenfield name in 1982 I believe.

Yep, that is a 1979 as Waffletop posted. They are great shooters, The metal parts are all Marlin and interchangeable with any Marlin parts . The stocks are the difference as they are birch and the Marlin brand were walnut

I have a 70 model glenfield that is very accurate (2/3 mag tube Golden 50)...it is not much to look at but really shoots.
I agree with the price others have suggested $400 to $500 because the GT is in demand by many (including me). A normal 30AS for example in the same condition can be had for $250 to $350 if you keep your eyes open.
If I were you, I would not even consider selling that little gem...too much history.

Thanks for the info!!! Yes I have lots of history with this gun. I'm keeping this one. It's the most accurate gun I have. I use to be a sniper for my department and shoot just about every gun there is and this is my favorite. Thanks!!

 

For those who prefer a straight grip stock and shorter barrel, this carbine is tough to beat. I have hunted with mine nearly every year since purchased in 1979. It has toppled a whole lot of deer for me during these decades of regular use. $450. is an average price but I've seen this model listed for much more.
