I consider a 2009 ie serial # starting with a 91 to be close to a Remmy But I d not believe Remmy made any official 450's

Utah's right as of yet no Remlin 450"s.I believe they were maid between 1999 to 2008-09, might be off a bit, but that's probably pretty close.

That,s good to know.Did any of have the droops that you all know of?I thought I read on here that someone had one with a MR prefix.

Mine is a 2007 XLR

I would only check if you have a 2009 otherwise Rock on.

Yes they maid an MR version which was a blued 22inch barrel, and pistol grip. Don't see many of those either. I've got a 1895M and MXLR.

Yepper, the 1895M was introduced in 2000 with optional factory porting through 2002. All 1895M's have a straight stock (unless somebody changed it out). Marlin halted production of the 450 right before the Marlin plant closed down and they moved all the equipment to the Remington plant. To-date Remington has not sold any 450's.

There never was a barrel droop issue on the Marlin 450's!

As others have mentioned there were 1895MR's & the 1895XLR's - great rifles that bring a premium.
