sounds like a weak ejector spring or the ejector is catching on something.

The cartridge extracts and then just falls out rather than getting tossed out. Is it supposed to do this?

My .243 does this as well. it has not been a problem yet, but is not exactly ideal either. What is the best way to remedy this situation?
How are you pulling the bolt handle to the rear? Smartly or just opening it?
