Been sayin' the same thing about the triggers on the 10/22 for years! A few extra minutes would give you a MUCH better trigger (minimal Manufacturing cost), ESPECIALLY for a kid just learnin' to shoot! NOW, Ruger has decided to sell an after market trigger for 1/3-1/2 the price of the gun! No thanks!

No way I'm spending that.

Bolt gun triggers can be fixed for free, My 60 trigger isn't bad, my 39A and 336 work fine.

Wolf makes springs for all Marlin Levers, then i take my lanskey sharpener stones using very light pressure hone all surfaces, after than felt tip polishing bit coated with compound in my dremel 2.5-3 pound trigger every time.
