WTS: Large frame M1881 28" barreled receiver in 40-60 caliber, a cut down mag tube (19") with end plug, and a few misc. small parts.
Receiver number 4914 dates it to 1883. The barrel is not original to the receiver and is numbered 17335 which dates to 1887. Barrel is 28", bore is shiny with strong rifling but does have some pitting. Slugs at .412".
Mag tube is cut down to 19" but has a good end plug in it. The barrel is not altered for this short tube and retains all factory dovetails, no extra bubba dovetail cuts.
Also comes with a front sight and screw, 2 repro tang filler screws, a buttstock tang screw, front tube stud for mag tube and the loading gate tenon.
