I just purchased a 1954 336RC. This is my birth year. It has a brown laminated stock on it that I want to replace with a walnut set (stock and for-end) to put it as original as possible. This is pistol grip with the forend band. Let me know what you may have for sale. I'm not against a set that needs refinished.

I'll probably go with Boyd's. Thanks.

Would you be interested in trading a walnut set for the brown laminate that you have?

Here's what I've got.

Wood String instrument
Wood
Wood

I don't know if it would be period correct for a 1954RC or not.
But I don't really need it, because I converted this gun to a forend
cap and put a laminate stock on it now.
If you want to trade that's fine, I like the laminate stocks.

Your stock looks like one I could refinish. The previous owner sanded a little in front of the band to get the band on. I did not put any stain on it as you can see. Also there is a little extra wood at the bottom tang that should be removed. Otherwise it looks good. I just want a walnut to put the rifle back as original. Let me know with PM.
