Making a new ground blind, calling it outpost #9
Raking the hill down clearing all the leaves and sticks away, so my trow& grow, has a chance of getting good soil contact.
I swing all the stuff I rake to make a berm that the intruders
Will have to jump or penetrate, to reach my position, when I am on watch.
If this stuff ever comes up, I will post a security camera at outpost #9.

It's hard to see with all the leaves on the trees, but I have a good view from here,all the way down to a creek, at the bottom of the hill.

I have a big GI, poncho, that will make a nice lean-to if a monsoon comes in. My swamp is a ways down too my right

We got some heavy rain this late morning. So I took a walk up to outpost #9, to see if my lawn got washed away. Looks like

Late today I picked up a smaller bag of seed, and filled in some of the thin spots,
Right now were having Thunder showers again. This is working

Just came off patrol, stood watch till 14:00, then went on patrol, found an old Indian trail, that the earliest settlers must of used to get from their summer hunting grounds ,to their winter hunting grounds.
No sooner went on patrol, and my nice gentle rain ,turned into
A full monsoon down poor. Found the track of an intruder in my new growth by out post #9.
Was hoping to find some tree rubs, nothing so far,
Got back off patrol at 15:00 . I couldn't be any more soaked
Than if I tried to walk across the widest part of the hudson.

Just went out with the weed wacker, and took a little off the top. The grass is very fine, maybe it will come back a little thicker ?
