Well I heard there was going to be outbreak of them in Iowa and since I have a couple 45-70 and found a 1895MXLR scoped, sling, cartridge cuff , box and papers that could be bought for under 5 Franklins was wondering if it would be a wise buy to protect my mules with and to keep the 45-70's company? ::)

It would suck to have the Woolly Mammoths invade, and there you are, one 45/70 short of being able to repel them properly. I salute you for being properly prepared. A man can't be too careful, ya know. ;)

That type of deal would be hard to pass up. Let me know if you need help with those woolys. My 1895m is getting jittery. ;)

Well that's what I was thinking but just wasn't in the cards I guess.

Have 2 Marlin 45-70's and a Sharps sitting in the safe with 2 other Marlins waiting to be shipped..

As soon as weather permits will get some pic's up on the 45-70 page..

In the "mean" time I'll be searching for a Mammoth Slayer!!
