This peeper requires a taller front sight, right?

You can use the factory front sights with the Williams FP, but why would you. On all but the cowboy models that front bead is a blunt instrument. I always replace them with either a smaller ivory bead or a sourdough type post sight. Either will work much better than the factory front sight.

The answer to that is "normally" yes. Although I've never installed one of these WGRS sights, the FP does need a higher front sight in order to use the full range of adjustments. This one appears to sit even higher than a FP on a low setting, so I believe this one would need to be taller too. You're better off doing that anyway as the fiber optic sights are much better than the original.

Sorry, I've been away. Thanks very much for the response. I've never used a Williams peeper, but I have several Lymans. Yeah, there are better front sights, but I also dislike a very tall front sight. I'd rather do something that doesn't require that.
