I wonder if marlin will ever make the 39a in the 17Hm2 caliber. I think I would have buy one if they did.

Not a chance......they will probably drop the 39A within a few years.......too high quality. Or......the workmanship will drop to Japanese radio quality......it's just in the cards for a lot of stuff........ :(

I agree - no. It would simply cost too much for the tooling & the bean counters just wouldn't see a wide enough margin. SW

The .17 HM-2 is a necked down Stinger case. I don't know what changes would have to be made for this caliber- my guess is not that many since Marlin is already set up for making barrels in .17 HM-2. There may be concerns over the bolt- pressures are a good deal higher than the long rifle or stinger....
