I have a question? Maybe a dumb question? But a question none the less. I have been looking for a V prefix 39A Mountie to compliment my V prefix 39A both made the year I was born. For some reason though it seems when a V prefix Mountie comes on GB, Armlist, Auction Arms etc... everyone else wants them as well and they generally sell quickly and high priced. However, I have noticed there are 39M's, late 60's, and 1950's vintage 39A Mounties that sit out there forever and they are priced comparably to the V prefix Mounties. Is there something about the V prefix 39a Mountie that makes it more desirable than other Mounties?

No, there is nothing more desirable about that specific year. Ironically, the '60's are my favorite years. Just something about the color of the wood.
