#3 is OK, but in 30-30 .Probably easier to just bring back the 336 cowboy 30-30. Just can't get comfortable looking at the XLR.

#3, blued, but with a 26" oct bbl, and in 38-55. Also be SWEET if they'd leave off that stupid cross bolt safety  ......

Something else :!:

1. 336CB in 32-40 -simple enough

2. 336XLR in 7-30 Waters - again simple enough

What you need to remember is the easier you make it for Marlin the more likely they may consent to do it .
Both of the options I suggest only need barrels and everything else is ready . They can buy a couple hundred barrels from a vendor and screw them in no problem .
Of course the same can be said of the CB in 35 REM or 30-30 for that matter. But a 35 REM does not hit me as something I would want in a octagon barreled rifle .

I'd like to see a pistol grip model chambered in 45 Colt, but....that 35 Rem above sure sounds nice too.

.

I dont see enough people agreeing on a rifle configuration and caliber to get an order but if anything I would like a 336 xlr in .356

The 336 option is perfect except for chambering. My first choice would be a .38-55, other choices would be .356, .375, .218 Bee.

An old cartridge like the .45-85 Marlin would be lots of fun.

XLR in 38-55

 XLR in 38-55 with a groove dia. no larger than .377~ ~ and a chamber large enough to chamber a loaded round with a .379~ ~ cast boolit....Cast boolit friendly throat......NO cross bolt saftey....I would cut the barrel to 22" but others may like a longer barrel....and distibuted by a dealer who will ship to Canada...Davidsons won't!....... :D.....
