I've shot everything from 180's to 300, nobody around here seems to carry anything heavier, and it's not like I need any more recoil for fun shooting. I've shot a lot of 180's in plinking loads, and a ton of 240's, and I'm thinking of settling on that as my standard bullet weight. I don't use it for hunting yet, since I have a 35 Remington should I choose to go after deer. Most of the time I plink and shoot paper to try and find a good all-around load that it likes. I just got an order from Midway, 500 of the Remington 240-grain Jacketed Soft Points, now I need a good mid-range load, something around 1400 fps, so my son can shoot them too, without getting pounded too bad. Any suggestions?
