Does anyone know what Marlin has done with the inside of the Lagre Loop Lever GBL???
Did they go to the one piece extractor??? magazine follower??? still plastic or what???
Did they go to a decent trigger????
These are Wild West options that really helped my 1895 GG.
I now have a hunting partner who just got a new GBL and needs help.
Any response greatly appreciated.

The trigger and extractor are both still two-piece. The follower is plastic but is shaped to also handle the Hornady Leverevolutions. I wouldn't worry about the strength of the Marlin parts. The extractor should last if you don't repeatedly lever loaded rounds out as hard and fast as you can. The trigger is a personal preference.

Welcome to Marlin Owner's!! :)

Extractor is one piece, it extracts the shell from the chamber.

Ejector is two piece, throws the shell out the side of the receiver after it's been extracted. ;)

As stated the follower is plastic.

I've never had a problem with any of the stock parts.
Aftermarket or even spare parts are cheap enough and a good idea to have some on hand just in case.

Check out the trigger job thread in the gunsmithing section.
Many have improved their stock trigger themselves.

Good luck!!! :)

Thanks for all your help.
This new 1895 GBL is going to Africa to live and work as a close back up for Lion, and some Buffalo.
Needs to be as foolproof a possible.
Wild West gun parts have turned my 1895 GG into a really slick machine.
Will advise friend to have gun modified and take spare parts.
