I have the 880SQ and use it for squirrel hunting, the 7000 is the auto version if ya arre into the rapid fire thing. and the 980 is the New version of the 880. All will shoot better off hand than I can hold and I can hit 4 out of 5 spinner targets at 50 most every time.

Mike;
I have an 880SQ and a 7000...never noticed any difference in ballistics..

Please explain how, as you said , with the same velocity a.22 bullet from a 7000 drops more than twice as much as one from a bolt rifle...

What am I missing ?

The SQ and the 7000 shoot very close for accuracy...the SQ may be just a bit closer...but I have stoned the trigger on the 880SQ, while the 7000 has been left to break in on it's own...

Both are very accurate...especially for their price...

Mike243,
Please tell me you really meant 100 yards and NOT 100 ft when you mentioned the bullet drop of 8". I am also interested about the drop differences between the bolt action and the semi-auto. Please elaborate on this.
