I make no apologies that I fancy the old Weaver scopes of before my time.... bought a couple old rusty ones off here and sanded them down re-blued them and they now sit atop a couple .30/30's.... Other day I happened upon a Weaver Marksman, a nifty looking "long" scope and the price was right so I brought it home... Has any of the membership here owned one of these? What are their reputation among other Weavers? I think it will ride atop a .22 for me... .DT

My biuddy got one on a rifle he bought and he took it off the rifle and put it on a win model 275 22 mag pump today while we were at the gunshow. I had one a long time ago that fogged but the one he has is extremely clear.

When I get a scope on a rifle. I take it off, put it in the freezer for awhile, take it out and check for fogging. Rather discover the defect in the kitchen, than in the woods.
