–noun, plural -nus·es.
1. something given or paid over and above what is due.
2. a sum of money granted or given to an employee, a returned soldier, etc., in addition to regular pay, usually in appreciation for work done, length of service, accumulated favors, etc.
3. something free, as an extra dividend, given by a corporation to a purchaser of its securities.
4. a premium paid for a loan, contract, etc.
5. something extra or additional given freely: Every purchaser of a pound of coffee received a box of cookies as a bonus.

Had to look this up, wasn't aware of the meaning. Don't think I'm at the right pay grade to get these. ;D ;D ;D

i've had bonus's at the last two jobs. first job would put it with my regular pay and guess who sees the deposit before i do? this job issues an extra paper check. guess what has funded my past 3 gun purchases? last year was a good year. trick is to not let anyone see inside my gun safe. only problem is i am running out of room.

The electric utility I work for gives the union people like me a bonus based on "key performance indicators" and safety...1.5% of your last years pay for each of them....3% total. We lost the safety goal by one "lost time injury." Unfortunately the bonus comes on a regular...direct deposit...check. It was just big enough to kick my taxes up to the next bracket...take home amount was half by the time you figured the extra taxes...ouch! BUT at least we have jobs to pay taxes.

The local gun shop has a 60 or 70% RC with straight grip for $325, but the last TEXAN and VAQUERO took care of my gun money...and my part of the bonus was in hock for part of their prices.

Hitting the gun shops along the way is a nice part of the annual trip to Montana and the Quigley shoot. I bought a nice 7.5 inch 44 VAQUERO down the street from SHILOH SHARPS in Big Timber. I learned to bring a FFL marked "for transfer only" on the trip...the gun can beat you home!

Keep an eye out for some of the others from MO's out at Quigley. May have news of another lever shoot about the same time over here in Billings, MT. If ya find a nice SC, or Glenfield 30, on the way out for a fair price, give me a holler. Can't find any in good shape for a fair price here. DP

Well, it's been a while since I've seen extra money. But, with the gun prices like I saw today, I'll just keep it. Too high for my blood. I'll just invest in more reloading gear. Maybe work on the old Ford instead.

Good enough reason to go out and buy another !

Every time we get a decent snow storm here in NJ, I go out the next day and order me a new one with the overtime $$$ !
Tax refund & summer overtime usually goes towards the credit card........
so I can order more reloading supplies. ;D
