I already have one of these so not for me but this 2002 (Ser# 98xxxxx) 1895GS looks really nice. Shop let me take pictures to show to you all. If you are interested they are an FFL dealer here in North Carolina and have a site on the internet. The metal has very very few marks if any - I saw nothing at all that stood out at me. Bore looked shiny and clean and action worked nice and smooth. Wood is nearly perfect and has nice grain and great checkering. Took these pictures with my cell phone - not too bad but not as good as my Digital SLR:

Looks nice, but for a used GS it's a little high priced IMO.

One of the great things about the GS or any other stainless Marlin is if there were any blemishes on the metal a piece of maroon scotch brite will make it look like new in seconds...
That's how I got mine so cheap.......it had a blemish on the right side of the receiver, but had less than a box of ammo down the tube!
