Hey MO,

Thank all of you for your Heartfelt Prayers & Well Wishes.

Last week, they removed a mass of tumors from my son, Nicholas.

He is now home, with 47 staples down the front (more or less).

Quite bad for a while. After the operation he developed an ILEUS. Many folk do, in reaction to the anesthesia.

The Doctors are planning the next course of treatment.

He is in a bit of pain, but good Spirits.

Later, Mark

Good luck hope the boy makes it with out extra side problems. The Doc just called me this AM and doesn’t want me in hospital until this Corona deal settles down.

Mark,
I hope your boy is feeling better with every day that passes. I assist with abdominal surgeries every work day. The ileus is a very common occurrence, especially when the intestines are manipulated, resected and the patient is under anesthesia for hours. It may take a few days for the bowel to "wake up" and start doing its thing again.
I don't know how old your son is, but when they are younger they heal quicker.
Andrew
