I just received and e-mail from Henry yesterday announcing two new caliber additions to the Henry Side Loading Gate Family--45-70 and 410 shotgun. MSRP is $1043, if I remember correctly. Nice that the announcement came out, as I was contemplating a Henry 410.
Just thought I'd pass the info along. They are supposedly in production and shipping, although as of last night, none were listed on Gunbroker.
I saw that also. I got a email and it stated the 410 would hold 5 rounds I think but only 2 1/2 shells. Makes me wonder if you can load 3" also just get less in it or it only shoots 2 1/2".
Not sure, but I don't think there is enough length in the action to handle a 3" 410. I don't believe any of the other lever action 410's were rated for 3" either--except maybe the Winchester 9410.
I'm also waiting on them to do the big boy in 41 magnum with a side loading gate. I'd be all over one of those.
I really liked the Henry H010 Blued chambered in 45-70 I handled at a LGS when that started shipping a few years back. Fit and finish was great, beautiful walnut stock. It retailed for $850 then. The only reason I didn't buy it was because I already HAD 3 JM Marlins chambered in 45-70. :stupid:
Must sell well they just added the dark series in a 410 as well. And marlin now has a 1895 in 410 too.
