Just wanted to give an open thank you to Ric Telerico, I think I spelled his name right. Last month I was in need of a stock for my 336. I read a post he had here about putting a new laminated stock on his rifle, so I sent him a message asking what he did with his "Old" stock Hetold me I could buy it from him. I asked that he hold it thirty days so I could round up the cash to send him. He said no problem and then asked my address. He sent the stock and told me to pay him when I could. The stock was like new and he only asked $60.00 plus the shipping for it. I got the stock and it made my 336 look like a new gun. A few weeks later I sent him the money and he sent me a thank you. These are deals you read about in days gone by. Here on the boards I have found the "American Dream" still alive and thriving. Ric, you have made a friend forever and I am sure the rest of the folks here on the boards will heartily agree with me Thank you again my friend.

I'll second that..it is important to be able to trust one another..we might send someone a lot of money..these toys aint cheap..and trust they will follow through on their end. So far Ive concluded that the members here are all fine and trustworthy people. It is like a family in here..one of ..if not the best forums Ive ever been to.

Keep up the good work gentleman.. :)

Without integrity and ethics,..........We got nothing!...............I agree,..... I've done the same for others here, and its good to know that at least integrity and ethics are still considered a needed Character Trait among shooters , hunters and Marlin Owners.

Thanks for the post, it's encouraging........

The integrity at this site comes from the top down. I had a similar experience with VTDW (Dave) and he just trusted me based on my word for a muzzleloader. It's a rare thing to see anymore.

Not to belabor the point, but all posts here are true. BEST SITE ON THE WEB. I have never felt this way about any other site. Feel like I personally know so many members here. Pretty rare in today's enviornment. Thanks to all.

Once when I sold a rifle to someone on another forum, my wife saw that I received the money order in the mail. She is from Romania and they cannot do this type of transaction over there. She ask me how this guy trusts someone to just send the money to a stranger and expect to receive the rifle. I told her " Gun people don't screw gun people". And I went on to explain that the vast majority of folks that are into firearms seem to be more trustworthy than other "groups" of people that buy and sell things.

I've had similar experiences her several times. Like a bunch of pals...I don't spend near as much time ANYWHERE on the web as I do here.

Way to go, guys. I choose to believe that most people are basically honest and trustworthy. We hear about the small fraction of the population who are way out of proportion to their numbers. But it does appear that the fraction of those who are honest on this forum may be higher than in the general population. Maybe it's related to why we love leverguns, Marlins especially.

I have had a lot of dealings with folks from Marlin Owners. I have bought stuff from members, sold stuff to members, met with members, had a member stay with me for a hunt, I have stayed with other members traveling to and from hunts and on vacation, and I can honestly say the people I have met and delt with are some of the finest people you could every expect to meet in your life. I'm proud and it is an honor to call them friends!

Can't add a thing - just glad to be sitting in this camp. Marlin folks are smarter, too. We could be wasting big money at the casino or on Winchesters. 8)

Same here. I've bought a couple of rifles from members, and sent money orders or bank checks.

Everything's gone well and smoothly, and I can't agree more that it's a pleasure to be in the company of men and women of integrity.
