me what a 'boit' is...?
Well..... I've heard some folks who live in the rural
counties in the south say similar things. I've heard
a front porch called a 'poich' or 'poach', depending
on how their accent was; so I guess they could say
'boit' for 'boat'. Guess it just depends on what part
of the country you live in.

Different ways of talking depending on where your from. My Grandma, from West byGod Virginia, used to say rench for rinse. My mother, who is PA Dutch, would say read off the table. My Father-in-law, from Indiana, would say push the door to. My come back was push it to where. He passed away a 2 months ago today...really miss him, nearly as much as my own Dad gone over 20 yrs now
