I sent mine to Coyote Cap where it sat for 9 months after being told two months was more than enough turnaround. It still does not feed most ammo well but the action is REALLY slick WITHOUT any shells in it. Also, I told him I wanted to use it for hunting and was worried about misfires in the cold. He said it is fine in Minnesota and would do fine in PA. I had it to the range last Friday in the cold and it misfired repeatedly with Winchester and Hornady ammo. I am now going to send it back to Marlin to have the feed problem corrected(I hope!) and then to another smith. If you find a good one, let me know. I always heard Cap was one of the best but am REALLY dissapointed.

I had Regan rebarrel a 336 so I don't know for sure about 1894's but he did a great job on my rifle, reasonable time, reasonable price and he really knows Marlins.
