Took my new Marlin 1894CST .357 for its first shoot today.

Functioning was great, however accuracy was a bit disappointing but I think that was mostly me and an indistinct target. About 100mm groups at 30m. I will try different loads and try to source a finer rear sight.

I fitted a DPT MkII supressor to the factory threaded muzzle.

It was very quiet with subsonic loads using Trailboss and 150gr projectiles. I forgot the chronograph so I don't know how fast they were going.

Very happy with my new toy. I brought it with some of the compensation money from when I had to hand in my semi-auto centrefires after the law changed in New Zealand after the Christchurch mosque shootings.
