So I'm traveling to be on site for a client this week. I'm sitting at some bar after work the other night and the bartender says, "hey, would you like to double that gin and tonic for $2 more?" Why yes, yes I think that would be just gentlemanly of you good sir. And so starts the story. Fast forward past a few more adult beverages (yes...a few...don't be judging now) and I manage to find myself back in the hotel room eyeballing lever rifle porn on the forum and sifting through Gunbroker auctions. Ruh rho Scooby this is not going to end well.

err....umm....uh...honey, I bought another Marlin! Now don't get me wrong, buying another Marlin is always a good thing. However, the fact I can't really remember the purchase is cheating myself out of the satisfaction of the pursuit and the joy of the winning bid.

So lesson to all....never Gunbroker and drink!

Yes, of course, when I get the rifle I will take pics and post my purchase for congratulations or condolences.

Here endith the lesson,
M

NJ:

I tried the Santa Note on a third 30/30 336. Trouble is I don't drink, and the little lady of the house was not buying the Santa note. She said I had to sell one of the rifles. So the rifle went to a friends house for a while, until the dust settled. Friend bought the 30/30 back and thanked me for the use of it. Since one of the 30/30 was in my work shop, there were never more than two 30/30 up stairs in the gun rack.

I am not advocating deception here, but when marlinitous strikes, a marlin owner has to do what must be
done.

Better check that it's not a Remlin. As far as sneaking guns in the house.... bachelor's don't have to sneak stuff into the house!

I've installed a new breathalyzer unit on my computer. USB cord connects to a mouthpiece...gotta blow clean before you can access certain sites. Problem now is I can't get to my favorite dirty videos?

Wut?

How does that line in that song go?

"The guns all get prettier at closing time".
