I've had my R92 for 2 years now. Innards have been slicked up, handloads developed. Time to move on to the stock. Washed off that brownish orange dye, applied 2 coats of English Chesnut stain, multiple coats of tru oil and finished with Old English furniture polish. Found some "grain" in the process and it doesn't have that balsa wood feel anymore. I'm satisfied.

Looks good, :tee:I have the same rifle. I also refinished the stock, I just used Lin-Seed oil, several coats.
