Hello from Iowa--

Been lurking here for quite some time--time enough to catch Marlin-itis anyway. I currently have a 336 in .35 Rem., a 39A and a 1894CB in .45LC and love them all.

This is a great forum, knowledgeable and very helpful people and a great place to learn a lot about a very well made lever gun.

Having been to many gun shows, pawn shops, retailers, LGS and web based auction sites I have definitely been able to see and feel the difference between the newer and the " Original Marlins" of the past. I'll probably bore everyone with tons of dumb newbie questions--oh well--that's how we learn, right ?

I look forward to spending even more time here from now on.

Thanks in advance to everyone for making this such a great forum.

Thanks Trapper--the questions are many--I try to learn a little from others posts first to try not to be to redundant.

Thank you Marla--your avatar really resembles my wife--no kidding--kinda scary huh ? I have relatives in Jacksonville and was stationed in Orlando with the USAF way back in '72. I thought Iowa had high humidity until I lived in Florida--thought I was going to melt away to nothing. Florida is a beautiful state.
