I like it, reminds me of my first pistol, a Colt SAA. I used that gun in every way I shouldn"t, fanned to point that it needed to be rebuilt. Eventually traded for a new Dan Wesson. Dan Wesson is a good outfit but I miss that old Colt six gun.

It's got the same grips as my 22/22 mag.

Mine is brushed.

Re: This may be my last gun

"Last Gun" has become a running joke around people that know me. ;D

The all steel 32's are called Vaquerito's or Baby Vaquero's.

The two steals of Ruger SAA inventory are these 32's that get released irregularly and the 7.5" Stainless 45 Colt at $419 wholesale.

Hal, I hope its brushed just like your six but it will be a "first" if it is.

Re: This may be my last gun

I went to two stores in Kerrville Texas today and would you believe they both had 32 H&R mag? After I cleaned them out I Immediately went and bought two Mega-Million Lotto tickets and I don't play lotto. I figure luck was with me today.

The Pistola will be here Monday. If its like I hope and they have some left, I'm ordering another. A true centerfire in this size frame is awesome.

Just a hunch, but I suspect that with the advent of the 327 Federal, a lot of 32 H&R Mag guns will be getting sold off cheap. Make hay while the sun shines! 8)

Re: This may be my last gun

You would think but they are jacked up still. They are selling for good money on gunbroker.
The quality of all the 32's I've seen has been beautiful.

They just keep on making the 32. Many folks are buying them for $500 plus and then sending them to Bowen custom guns for a $800 plus 327 conversion.

I just saw a 327 conversion of a SP 101 Ruger at the gun show yesterday, never had heard of the 327 before that. Looks really cool.

Re: This may be my last gun

I wouldn't convert a 101 because you can buy them new in 327mag as well as the blackhawk. As far as converting the Vaquerito to 327, only the ecentric would put $1300 into such a pistola. For what I use it for the 32 H&R is fine.

Re: This may be my last gun

I recieved this pistol yesterday. It had a cyl drag ring from the factory, not as perfect as my birdhead model. Nice gun though.
It is polished stainless but not as bright as the birdhead model.

I'm in the process of swapping grip frames. ;D
