Come on Moderators! Your slipping! ;D

Where's the Team 39A? Everyone else has a Team - we need to do one to represent our great little .22's!

Amen to that! I've been wondering the same thing. Another thing that came to mind was, Why not have Team ______ t-shirts made to sell to the members, so we can show our pride in our Marlins. Sell them on the forum and proceeds go to help fund the forum. Just a thought. Dan

It has nothing to do with moderators folks. If members wish so create a team they should decide among themselves which 2 or 3 members would head it up. Then Admin (Gunjunkie and myself) should be contacted with a proposal.

Easy!

Could I join? My grandpa's got a 39A Mountie...

How about an X7 team? I'll be the leader as long as it requires no intelligence.

Probably because the bullets are so teeny tiny, they get little respect. How many squirrels/prairie dogs can you shoot, without wanting to put a big hole in someting? ;D

Just kidding guys, I don't have a 39A but I have a bunch of rimfires.

I didn't form Team .35 Remington, but I volunteered to lead it and had caps made up for it. Now, we're thinking about what to do next. If anyone wants to start a Team 39A Marlin, the administrators would go for it, I'm sure. All someone has to do is to volunteer to head it up and get another member or two to help out. It's really that simple. If anyone does start a Team 39A, he, or she, can count me in.

Sure there can be a "Team 39" but you have to play in the PeeWee league. ;D ;D ;D

The funny thing with all these "Teams" is that everyone is ready to join, but nobody wants to take responsibility to lead it. Typical of most groups I'm involved with.

I was thinking the same thing but I know Hal so I nominate Hawlg as at least co-captain of Team 39. ;) I heard the first thing he would do is issue a challenge to all the other teams to enter Big Medicine's Postal Match ;D so it would be a great competion among the various teams. I am not at liberty to tell you what type of support Marlin owners will provide but it will be substantial. :)

Well, I'm on here every day (just about).
Since I brought it up and I absolutely LOVE my 39A - I'll step up as Team 39A Captain.

So, what do I have to do? I get it about keeping track, setting up some 39A 'events' (postal matches or whatever) and definitely hustling up some $$$ for this site through '39A goodies'.....................anything sold (t shirts, hats, bumper stickers, coffee mugs. etc...) I would donate 100% of the proceeds (minus actual costs of the products) to this site to help keep it going.

VTDW & GJ - I guess PM me with what needs to be done.

If that is acceptable, put me down as #1.

;D

Anyone else dedicated enough to wanna help me?

Here's my entry -

2007 Marlin Golden 39A
Skinner rear peep
Lyman target Globe front sight with Shaver fine crosshair + 1/3 post insert (I put it together)
Brauer model 10 lace on leather cheek pad
Brownells decorative slot blank (rear dovetail)
nylon cord wrapped lever
Montana Sling (oiled up with Virgin Olive Oil)

I also have a 39A Golden. I wouldn't mind being a member since I also have a .35 and 30-30 336. Let me know if this comes into being. I really enjoy my 39A but am having more fun right now with my GSG MP-5P clone.

I can say one thing for sure - I would have quite a few shootin' matches since these are rimfires!
No excuses on boolits costing too much!

VTDW & GJ - Let me know. If CKB wants to Co Captain, make him #2 and I will just go down the list in order of interest as it stands now.

It's 2110 -I'm going to bed!

See 'ya all tomorrow......................

See the 3rd post in this thread. I am headed out in the a.m. for the Marlin Owners Father/Son Hunt and won't be gack before Monday night. You are doing just great and already seem to have a co-cap'n. Carry on dude!!! ;D

p.s. Please don't think your Team has to have fundraisers etc. Do whatever will benefit the membership and have fun. If an extra dollar or two winds up in the Marlin Owners coffers, believe me it will be put to good use.

Hey I want to throw in for Team 39A. I have a 1963 39A-Mountie and a 1973 39M Octagonal. I have a 1897 COWBOY, think they might be part of this group too.

What kind of help do you need to start/run this group? Let me know. I am kind of a Newb to this or any forum.

Matt
