Spent the afternoon building raised garden beds for the wife. I'm beat. Lots of shovel work, and I separated my fake shoulder doing said shovel work. That hurts worse han anything I've ever felt... except the brain sag headache I had a couple of years ago. That almost made me eat the muzzle of my 1911.
Made it this far, and I might as well ride out the rest of the journey.

Good night sir.

Thanks Dad

All right then, suppose that's a wrap!

Have a good night all...........

John, how was the weather in SO CAL today? Here, pounding rain and sustained 20mph wind with40mph gusts and a lot of flooding! Roads closed, Auburn Ravine spilled it's bank and closed the road. What a mess. The storm made getting around very difficult. Enough of these atmospheric river storms, already. We need a break!

Morning all ...................rain Jack, continuous rain all night. Supposed to break here soon. Warmer, so supposedly little to no snow above me here. Some crew finally made it out of the mountains Monday. Not at work yet, so I'll see about this morning. As you probably remember, in our area, we have pretty good control of quickly sending all this precious water straight to the ocean. So really, respective to other California areas like yours, very little inconvenience here .........plays havoc with my hair though.

Ok, better get to the shower .

Let's be safe out there.

Now, to fill the raised beds. 2inches of gravel 1 inch dead leaves and 20 inches of garden soil. The small one is gonna take a pickup load. The big one is gonna take half again as much. Gonna use automatic sprinklers to water the plants so I don't have to do anything but shoot squirrels then throw them in my nieghbors trash.

Morning y’all. The wife does raised beds. An by that I mean she has me build them, fill them, plant stuff and water them. Then she picks stuff she “grew”. Lol

We have two raised flower/vegetable beds in the backyard. The previous house owner put them in originally. I replaced the wood border ties about 3 years ago. Jalapeno peppers grow like crazy in both beds. We have tried tomatoes too, but have had problems with Southern Rot in the past. Bell peppers grow good in that soil as well.

We are planting Armenian cucumbers, radishes, maters, carrots, and lettuce. I have fixed it so I don't have to water or weed. The soil I'm gonna use has been steamed and is 99.9% weed free( I can hope can't i?).
The garden is hooked up to the sprinkler system on its own circuit.

Have a great day be safe and eat more oatmeal, it's good for your ticker.

Thanks Dad
