Scott, captain of Team 1894 has issued a challenge to all other team members for the new postal match. So limber up them .35's and show him what a real rifle can do. ;D ;D

I'm counting on you guys.

Brian in FL, your team Captain

Can I use a scope? I am showing what the rifle can do, right? Not how my eyes are working at my age.

Along with my pace maker, the scope helps to be able to see when my heart beats and shoot between them.

Or, is the competition for the youth only?

There are categories for both iron sights and scopes. Most of my shooting with these old eyes of mine is done with scopes mounted. I'll probably enter targets shot both with and without a scope mounted. I have a couple of waffle top Marlins with 24" barrels with receiver sights mounted in .35 Remington and .30-30.

It ends August 31. Entries must be postmarked by September 1. So, there's no real rush. As I understand it, there's no limit to the number of targets you can enter, so, if you send one in and then shoot a better one, send it in as well.

I have some wonder bullets to shoot out of my 336 SC. If I can get them around the middle of the target, they should group well.

Guys, when you send in your targets, be sure to mark on them that you're shooting for Team .35, and put your screen name on them too. Otherwise, follow all the rules posted in the "Postal Challenge" section.

I've never understood what the "outer" part of the target is called, not been there. I've always been one of those ten-ring guys. Maybe some of you on the other teams can tell me what that area is called on the target. Just curious so I can describe that to the rest of Team 1894 who also are unaware of that region of the paper.
