If any of you Team .35 Remington guys are planning to enter targets in the Postal Match Team Challenge, let me know about it, OK? I'd just like to know how many of you there are.

I will be shooting open sites, so whatever ranges I am allowed to do (I will check the rules) I will be doing those. I will post my results before mailing them in so we can all see how good we are doing so far.
Uhhhh, WHAT team challenge????
I will punch a hole or two. Hopefully they will hit the target somewhere :-[

I plan on throwing at least five projectiles down range and as WF mentioned, hopefully they will apply themselves to the center of the target with close proximity to each other. ;D

I would plan on making at least 50 copies of the target ;D

I keep wondering where Dave is most of the time.

Brian, I'll be in it, of course, and everyone needs to send the targets to me for scoring. If you are going to be in it, PM me and I'll let you know where to mail the targets. I'm not posting my address on here for all to see.

ps. I only plan on needing one target.
I too plan on only sending in one target,my best.No need to bog down the scorers with em. But no telling at the targets Ill shoot ;) Im in on the 50yd open sight, and maybe the 100yd open sight.Win or lose boys lets show em we are here. Its all in fun and we know we have the best hunting round in the bunch . Us guys with 35s are a different breed.Ill help in any way I can. Even thought(cringe!) of putting a scope on one(Heaven forbid) to help out. Now people thats showing team spirit for Gunrunner ;D Cant believe I wrote that ;D As the time gets closer we could use this to post how we are doing. Its a team thing. I hope everone is better than me,Should be no competitiion between us.If someones better than me Im supporting him.Good luck to all. Randy,, Yall tell me what you think,I shot this group last week after shooting my brothers new pistol. The story about it is in the pistol section.Anyway the little bench we use was at Mikes(headhunter 3006) another pasture away. So It was off hand open sights, useing a sling leaning on a post.Handloads with Bobs(358) cast bullets.Surprised me alittle. Should I try from a bench?? or save my ammo for the 50? Randy,

Randy, nice shooting. Looks like minute of deer heart to me! Glad your marlin likes my cast bullet! What was the
charge?
358 Win
40gr Bob. Think if I sat down with a sandbag, and took my time Id do alot better. It was hard to see the bullseye.Been thinking of giving it ago. Ive always sighted in at 50 and afterward shot a group at 75 and if they shot good, went and killed a bunch of deer ;) But havint shot open sights much past that in a long time.Thought maybe of changing my ghostring on my XS sight to the smaller one and seeing if that would shrink em some. Anyway I asked that Question before and nobody came back. So I guess Im on my own.It will be at least next weekend before I give it a go,what with all thats going on in my family. But Bob Im sure alot of meat will be put in the freezer with your flying wheelweights.Need to try em at 50. The silvertips seem to be the best at that so far.Buts its about heads up between them and the factory Remingtons. They beat my reload with the hornady by a little and the feds by a good bit. But all will put a deer to sleep.Hope your planning on sending a couple of targets in Bob.I like the idea of your bullets in my rifle,If I had 5 cases from another MO buddy, thered be some heavy MoJo a going on ;D Randy,,

There's a sticky in the 1894 section that tells about it. In short, 1895Gunner who captains Team 1894 has challenged all the other teams to compete against them in big medicine and sidespin's Postal Match for bragging rights for the winning team.
I'm in with my "51" 336A ...100yds w/scope.
Sure glad you guys with the scopes are stepping up.Now I can leave them mounts, wherever I put em :D
Randy, a smaller rear aperture is what's used for target shooting. The smaller the rear aperture the "finer" you can lay em in there on the target. Bigger rear aperture or ghost ring is better for hunting cause you don't need as fine a line up on the front site. My eyes are getting to the point that any size rear aperture causes me fits. I just use the rear site with no aperture screwed in, a la ghost ring or XS site. I even bought different size apertures with a
brass insert surrounding the "peep" to draw more light in but eyes are too bad to even use those. Joe who just shot
the Bison with the Indians once said to me that it sounds like my eyes are so bad I could not hit a barn with open sites if I was standing inside one!!!!!!!LOL I laughed at that one for two days. I may have to sign up for the postal
35 Remington shoot. I gotta get myself on the site with the rules and what target to use, etc. Thanks for the info on the load you used with my cast bullet. I'm gonna try it in my Marlin. It sure shoots accurate enough in your .35
to use on deer. With that wide flat nose and weighing 212gr, it'll put a hurting on anything you hit with them. They
are soft enough to "expand" yet hard enough to shoot them at 2000fps or more.

Thanks Brian, I hadn't seen that. I've got a tendency to skip over the stickies....

Are there any age categories? As in a youth division? Guess I can just go look and probably get the answer to that. ::)
I will be scoring the targets as outlined by Big Medicine, once I figure out what it is. When you have targets to submit, PM me and I'll give you my mailing address.

Remember this is lever gun only, open sights @ 50 yards, scopes at 100 yards. As you would use the gun for hunting.
I would like to be in with both rifle in 35 rem. one has peep the other scoped
