Ok, ok - I give up.......I've been looking online and cannot find anyone listing the size codes for the vintage tang sights......Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would love to have a chart listing the codes for Lyman and Marbles....

Thanks

As far as online, I'm not aware of anyone with such a data base. The best resource available to me is : OLD GUNSIGHTS - A Collectors Guide - 1850-1965 - by Nick Stroebel published by Krause Publications. Well worth the $20 or so.

I'm sure Barnes & Noble or Amazon will stock the book.

Moody -
I was going to ask if that was an after work no. but I'll just ask about the codes here......

What do Lyman V's and H's fit? I assume they are Lyman - they look like it.

Thanks

An H is a Marlin 1892 , 1897, or 39 in .22 cal. They didn't make a V, so it might be a Y which is Maynard, or a SV which is Stevens model 70.
