How difficult would switching forends on a 1894CB 357 with another of the same. Removing the old ones cause damage to the forends? Do I have to sand or cut them so they match well? How much skill factor is involved?
As long as both forends are for a cowboy model and they are finished factory marlin forends you should have no problem…..If you can use a flathead screwdriver and have about 10 minutes to spare you should be good to go. You just need to remove the 2 screws on the forend cap and the one holding the magazine tube to the barrel.
Will it be as easy to switch a fore end of a Zane Grey? I am looking for a laminated set to switch out. I am picking up a like new ZG and don't want to jack up the stock & fore end hunting. Does anyone know witch ones I should buy. I was going to order the 336 BL set and just make some mods to make them fit.
