I recently purchased a Williams 5-D JEMS peep sight. When it arrived there was very little information as to how to install it and how to adjust it for sighting in. I searched several sites for the information I was looking for with no luck. I requested here on MO for help, and BFPGW supplied all my answers very articulately. With out his help I would have had to play with the sight to install it and guess how to adjust it when sighting it in. This might help other's in the future if placed here.

Ask him to post it as a sticky. He is a mod and can do that.

I thought he might be too humble, but he did give a very good description on how to install and adjust this sight. Pictures would be a great plus. I found it difficult to find the information I needed. HE CAME THROUGH with precise information. I was able to install the sight in less than 10 minutes even with having to relive the factory stock slot for the sight. With the info. provided I can sight the rifle in with no problems. There is still one question I need answered. When I removed the set screw to remove the elevation slide the stop bushing fell out. This bushing has an angle cut into it. I replaced the bushing with the thick edge up and the angle portion towards the receiver. I believe this is the correct position, not sure but it seems to work.

If you are referring to the cone shaped washer that the elevation lock screw passes through, the cone should be larger toward the head of the screw and narrower toward the receiver. I believe you got it right. The cone shape as I described should mate with the elevation slide and clamp it securely.
