As advised by the marlin CS rep I took the Remlin on my pig hunt. Now it is going off to have the trigger plate support repaired. I will have to admit, I am becoming attached to this rifle and it is getting very slick the more I work the action. All original springs are back in the gun before it goes to the repair center.

That's a beaut (gun -- not pig. Pig is impressive, but rather not what I'd call 'beautiful'! )

I've been sort of thinking about an SS .44 1894 (I already have a blued 1995 1894c) and your photo sure isn't helping me resist...

Please tell me how expensive .44 ammo is, and how it just isn't worth it! ;D

That looks like a mighty long barrel, is it ? What the lenght of that thing ? Nice hawg too ! Note: Void those questions, I inlarged the photo and now see thats a limb that blends with the barrel, LOL. Almost fell out of my chair at first look.

Looks like a great time esp when you get to spend it with a hunting partner. We just got back fom OK a couple weeks ago and I killed one with my 1894S 45LC. Got to love the 1894 rifles

Cool! Whats wrong with the trigger plate?

We killed 4 hogs between my son & I on the hunt Big Med mentioned, 2 a piece & all with a 1894 44 mag with a 240 grain JSP handload. Seems to work pretty good!
