Thanks for the tips in my last post to everyone who contributed, you's helped a newbie get his first bird. He wasn't the monster I missed the chance to take a shot at, but it was getting late and I wasn't going to get another shot this season. He's a decent little jake and I found a new passion I'm gonna get better at with some experience.
Sorry the picture's sideways, it wouldn't cooperate for me.

Nice job. The young ones may be on the small side but they still taste good.

Congrats Chris - never apologize for an animal well hunted - that is your first "Bird" and a trophy in his own right - enjoy your first meal of wild turkey.
