I am looking for one. I have a WTT ad here. I'd pay up to $900-$1000 if I could find a new one. But $2000! That's just not right.

"THIS AUCTION IS FOR serial #2 Marlin Model 1895 STP Trapper Lever-action rifle." Just the one. What a deal! Now, for accessories, one would have to get some that would not "insult" or "embarrass" the gun. A Swaroski or Zeiss scope, say, for around $2,300, a properly fitted leather Huey case for another $2,300, then wait some years for the dollar to devaluate some more, and put the wole package up for sale on GB for, say, around twelve to fifteen grand. And, if it should happen to sell for that, get the feeling that somehow a "profit" was made. If not, scratch your head, and ask, "where did I go wrong?" So much beautiful Marlin Iron available for $800 and less! Smart purchase? NOT! JMMHO.
