I have recently purchased a 100 year anniversary 336 Texan. It is in great condition except the medallion is missing in the stock. I was able to locate a new old stock replacement but I am unsure how to secure it to the stock correctly. Has anyone done this before? Should I use glue? Epoxy? something else all together?

I hope to do this correctly and only do it once. :)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Originally, they were mounted with a two part powdered glue that was mixed with water..........I don't recall the name....Maybe Woodweld, or Weldwood ??...I can't really recall, so don't get caught up on those words. It was a product that was purchased from an industrial supply company,...not commercially available to the consumer.

I'd use a common two-part epoxy mix, but I'd de-grease the back side of the Medallion prior to mounting.
