I bought a Marlin Glenfield Model 60 with a broken stock. It has a serial number 23xxxxxx ( c 1977 ?) with a long barrel and full size tube mag. It has a Leaf & Checked stock. Would replacing this broken stock with a Squirrel stock be appropriate considering age, etc.?

There is nothing wrong with putting the stock on your model 60. It would look just fine even considering the age. Go for it.....
