Good for you Sean! Nice pics too! Reminds me of steelhead and salmon fishing in Pulaski NY as a young guy! Those are memories I will never forget! Dragging 3 fish on a rope up a hill at about 70 pounds total! ;D
I was just reading an article this morning about this very topic. (see link below) I would love to try fly fishing for these but have never been fly fishing before. If you don't mind me asking Sean, what is the learning curve on fly fishing, and what are the most important gear to have?
Learning curve is a good question - my kids picked it up right away, took me longer. For steelhead I think the reel is pretty important, they can work your drag over pretty good sometimes.
