2nd. day open spring season, mornings & gobblers only, about 8:30-8:45 am with bursts of high winds and light rain. This seemed to keep the gobblers almost inactive. There is an area where I've been after a bird that has stummped me last year, both seasons. What a game it was..

Picture is from a cheapo walmart digital, but like I care.
M-88 12 x-full choke. Federal 3" premium even though I patterned up with Winchesters, hey it's very dark at 4 am.
The bathroom scale said 21 lbs., 9 & 1/2 beard, 1 & 1/8" spurrs.
Slammin'

To success & the hunt!

Well done John, How old would a bird like that be.
