Spent most of the week end doing some clean-up to get ready for some shooting now the weather should get better. Broke down all mine and the wifes 39's and cleaned them and lubed the wear points to have them ready to go when we get to go shoot. Takes a while to get them done. Had a few that are not easy to get back together. Some times they just fall into place so easy and sometimes not. After I was done I found another in the safe I missed so I need to do one more.

Puts me in the hole. I only have ten. What is that fifth one from the camera, with the gorgeous wood?

Nice. I really don't covet yours, I just need about two more.

Hey Bandit,

Wow!

Great stable of 39's!

Now if we only find .22 ammo, for them.

Later, Mark

That's an impressive portfolio of shootin irons.
One of the things I like about Marlin 336s/1894s/1895s is the ease with which they can be stripped completely down and reassembled compared to say a Winchester 92 or 94.
I can do it in my sleep.
John Browning, the designer of the Winchester 1886, 1892, 1894 was a genius.
John Marlin was also a genius but realized that most of the rest of us aren't and made his designs really user friendly.
My 14 year old nephew can strip, clean & reassemble any of my Marlin leverguns in minutes.
I clean mine well before I put em away after hunting season and they're ready to go in the range right after the snow is gone (which is taking forever this year ).

Spring clean-up

That is a very nice ''Family Protrait.'' Looks to me as if it may have taken awhile to do them all and then find ya missed one. Oh well, kept you out of trouble for a bit. Take care, John.:)

No wonder no one can find one you got em all locked up so they can't wander. Nice. Sure hope you have lots of .22 ammo stored up.
