I found a brand new Davidsons Marlin 336D in a small town gunshop, the owner said it had been sitting on the shelf for at least a few years. Being 1 of 1000, I was wondering if I should shoot the dang thing or let it sit in the safe for collectors sake. I would think new, unfired it would be worth some money someday, but my will power is fading. Please advise.

Ain't worth nothin if you can't shoot it...

If you're just going to keep it in your safe, I'll store it for you so you won't be tempted to use it

Sidespin, I actually traded a Remington VLS in .243 straight across for the .35. I paid about 500.00 for the VLS and he had the .35 tagged at 489.95. I guess I didn't do too bad, but I'm not real sure what the D's are going for. I'll be sure to wear earplugs, I bought a 45-70 guide gun when they first came out and it too was ported, but like the fool I am, I traded it off.
