Some words to the wise. Shooting Advice from various Concealed Carry Instructors. If you own a gun, you will appreciate this. If not, you should get one and learn how to use it:

A: Guns have only two enemies rust and politicians.:congrats:

B: Its always better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

C: Cops carry guns to protect themselves, not you.:vollkommenauf::hmmmm:

D: Never let someone or something that threatens you get inside arms length.

E: Never say "I've got a gun." If you need to use deadly force, the first sound they hear should be the safety clicking off.

F: The average response time of a 911 call is 23 minutes, the response time of a .357 is 1400 feet per second. :beerglass:

G: The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always win - cheat if necessary.

H: Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets . . . You may get killed with your own gun, but he'll have to beat you to death with it, cause it'll be empty.

If you're in a gun fight:
1. If you're not shooting, you should be loading.
2. If you're not loading, you should be moving,
3. If you're not moving', you're dead.

J: In a life and death situation, do something . . . It may be wrong, but do something!

K: If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you have a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

L: You can say 'stop' or 'alto' or any other word, but a large bore muzzle pointed at someone's head is pretty much a universal language.

M: You cannot save the planet, but you may be able to save yourself and your family.

If you believe in the 2nd Amendment, please forward to all your friends.

"Never let someone or something that threatens you get inside arms length"

(An absolute truth is now called "Never get outa the boat")

Y'all better heed this and develop a plan because this is the technique being employed currently. The thugs know they can come right
into your personal space and you still don't have the right to use deadly force. This Trayvon case should be an eye opener for folks.

I recently hit a guy with a double palm strike so hard as he put his hand on me that he flew backwards like a shotgun blast and rolled across
the pavement of a HEB grocery store parking lot. It gave me plenty of space but I ain't getting any younger.

A few years back, I sent two guys to the hospital and disabled their car using UDP pepper spray. My testimonial is on their site.

Close quarters or ground fighting is why I use two S&W J-Frames for primary carry. The way things are going these days you better have some non-lethal
options thought out.

Hey, I'm a twenty plus year soldier and a shoot'em up, tuff guy, but that ain't the smartest option sometimes. I haven't used a
screwdriver, trident fork, or ice-pick since around year 2000 something but that works well too.

Item "K" reminds me of the story about the Traffic Cop Report who pulled over the old lady. After finding out the old lady had several guns in her car the officer reportedly asked, "WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF" and the lady responded, "NOT A DANG THING...."

a gun in the hand beats a cop on the phone

when seconds count, the police are only minutes away

never bring a knife to a gun fight; but always bring a gun to a knife fight

God made man, Sam Colt made men equal.

Words to live by. Keep your options open, but keep your sidearm just in case those options fail or unviable.
