I am not all that sure that there "has to be someone out there that has a lot of (marlin) parts" I found a lever for an 1894 in Canada some years back, and a hammer for a 93 in TX more recently, but I have never been aware of any one place that has any great number and availability of vintage parts.

Perhaps this Williams place does, what kind of stock does he have? Lots of stuff? Or just odd on occasion?

It is a straight grip and 38 40..I will try Williams.I would think the 38 40 and 44 40 would be the same lever as 38 40 is just necked down 44 40... I do not particuliarly mean a parts place that has alot Marlin parts. I for example know several private individuals that have tons of parts for the types of Firearms they collect.

Got to be the ultimate Marlin parts hoarder out there somewhere. Thanks
