I finally slugged all my lever guns today (one Henry Big Boy 44 mag, one 1895CB 45-70 and one 336 30-30). Looking to load some lead bullets for target practicing.

The 30-30 was .309, which based on what I read, I should look for a .310 or .311 lead bullet:questionmark: Anyone know where you can get these without having to cast your own. I found sources for oversize bullets for all but the 30-30. I'm sure they are out there just don't know where to look.

Thanks.

Beartooth Bullets offers a good selection of .30 cal cast in sizes from .308 to .312.. I have not tried them, but hear good things about Beartooth...

Try a couple before you buy a bunch. .311's won't chamber in my 336, I shoot .310's.

I cast my own and my 336 takes .311's.
Do you have a 336?
And if you do have a 336, when you slug the barrel did you have a loose spot in the middle of your barrel?

Out of curiosity, and assuming it is a MG bbl, what did the 45-70 slug out at?
